Photon Beam Terms of Service

Last updated: October 22, 2026

This service is operated by 2826129 Alberta Inc., a company incorporated in Alberta, Canada, trading as Photon Beam. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

What this service does

Photon Beam is a hosted social media publishing tool. You sign in through a web browser, connect your own social accounts, and use it to schedule and publish posts, see analytics, and read and answer comments and messages. It runs on our servers.

Your account

You need an account to use the service, and you are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you think somebody else has got into it. You must be at least 18.

Your content, and what you may publish

What you create stays yours. We claim no ownership of your posts, your photos or your videos, and we use them only to run the service for you - publishing them where you tell us to, and storing them long enough to do it.

You are responsible for everything you publish through Photon Beam. You must have the right to use what you post, and you must follow the rules of every platform you post to, including Meta's terms for Facebook and Instagram and the equivalent terms for Threads, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Telegram, Pinterest and Rumble. We do not review or approve your content before it goes out.

Photon Beam uses YouTube API Services. By using Photon Beam, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Do not use Photon Beam to publish anything unlawful, to impersonate anybody, to send bulk unsolicited messages, or to break the rules of a connected platform. We may suspend an account being used that way.

Connecting and disconnecting accounts

The service only works with accounts you connect yourself, and only does what the permissions you grant allow. You can disconnect any account at any time inside Photon Beam, or by removing the app's access in that platform's own settings.

You can clear your content and every connection, keeping your login, from the data deletion page, which lists what it removes and what it keeps. You can close the account entirely from the Account page.

Your page's visitors and customers

Your public page is your own shop. The people who visit it, buy from it or claim a gift on it are your customers, and you are responsible for their information. Photon Beam handles it on your behalf, only to run your page, deliver what they bought or claimed, and show you your own totals, as the privacy policy describes. We do not use it for our own marketing or anybody else's.

Selling from your page

To sell anything that costs money you connect your own Stripe account. Until it is connected and Stripe has cleared it to take payments, your page shows that it is not taking payments yet; free gifts keep working. Your customers pay you, through Stripe, straight into that account. Photon Beam does not hold your money and never sees your customers' card details.

You are the seller of everything you sell. You are responsible for what you sell, for refunds, for answering disputes and chargebacks, and for any sales tax, GST or HST that applies to your sales - all of which happen in your own Stripe account, under Stripe's own agreement with you. Photon Beam takes no share of your sales today; if that ever changes we will tell you by email before it applies to you.

Disconnecting your Stripe account in Photon Beam stops your page taking payments. The account, its money and its history stay yours at Stripe.

Paid plans

Some features need a paid plan. Payment is taken by Stripe; card details are entered on Stripe's own pages and never reach us. Plans renew automatically for the same period until cancelled.

Trials and renewals. A free trial ends at noon, in the time zone your browser gave us when you started, 30 days after the day you started. Your card is charged then, and the plan renews on that same date each month. We remind you in the app, and by email, two days and one day before a trial ends and before each renewal.

You can cancel at any time, and cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund part-used periods unless the law requires it or we have plainly failed to deliver the service.

If prices change we will tell you by email before the change affects you.

Founding lifetime membership

The first 100 people to buy a founding membership get lifetime access for a one-time payment of C$149. It can be bought now, before Photon Beam opens to the public. Only 100 are sold; the number left is shown beside the button and is the real count. Joining the waitlist does not reserve a founding place or oblige you to buy one.

"Lifetime" means the lifetime of the person who holds the account. It ends when that person closes the account or dies, and it cannot be passed on or inherited. It covers every paid feature, including the Store and the editing suite, with no renewal charge. A founding membership belongs to one account and cannot be transferred. If we discontinue the service, the notice in "Ending it" below applies. We may suspend or close a founding account for the same reasons as any other account under these terms.

Refunds. You can have a full refund of a founding membership, for any reason, if you ask within 14 days of paying. And if Photon Beam does not open to the public, every founding member can have a full refund: ask within 14 days of the day we say it will not open. To ask, write to support@photonbeam.io from the address you paid with. The money goes back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, and a refunded membership ends.

Referral program

Every account has its own referral link. If somebody opens your link and signs up within 60 days, they count as your referral. The first link they used is the one that counts, and it does not change later.

What you earn. When somebody you referred pays for a monthly plan (Basic, Pro or Max), you earn 20% of each payment they make, worked out on the amount after any discount and before tax, for as long as they keep paying. Referrals who stay on a free account earn nothing. Founding memberships do not count. Referring people earns this share and nothing else: it does not make your own plan free or cheaper.

Refunds and chargebacks. If a payment is refunded, in whole or in part, or disputed with the card issuer, the earning on it is taken back. If it has already been paid to you, it is taken off what you earn next.

Payouts. Payouts are made automatically, once a month, either through Stripe, to a Stripe account you connect, or through PayPal, to the PayPal email address you give us. Stripe can only pay people in Canada and the United States; PayPal can pay people in most other countries. Each earning waits 30 days first, so refunds can be dealt with. A payout is only made when at least C$10 is ready; anything less carries over to the next month. Amounts are in Canadian dollars; Stripe or PayPal may convert them, at their own rates, for an account in another currency. We pay PayPal's fee for sending a payout. If you have not connected a Stripe account or given a PayPal address, or neither can pay you, your earnings wait until one can. If nobody claims a PayPal payout within 30 days, PayPal sends it back and it waits for the next month. Earnings not yet paid when you close your account are lost.

You must disclose it. Whenever you share your link, you must say clearly that you earn a commission from it, where the link is shared - for example "I earn a commission if you sign up for a paid Photon Beam plan through my link." Doing this is your responsibility, as is following the advertising and endorsement rules where you and your audience are.

Fair use. You cannot refer yourself, another account of yours, or anybody paying on your behalf, and you cannot use spam, misleading claims or any other trick to get referrals. We may refuse or take back earnings that break these rules, and close the referral link of anybody who does.

Tax. You are responsible for reporting and paying any tax on what you earn from us.

Changes. We may change or end the referral program. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app, and earnings made before the change are paid under the rules they were made under.

How long we keep your files

Uploaded photos and videos are deleted after 30 days, and sooner once the post carrying them has gone out. Because of that a post cannot be scheduled more than 30 days ahead. Drafts are deleted after 30 days without being edited. The privacy policy sets this out in full.

What we do not promise

The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a scheduled post will always publish on time.

Publishing depends on the platforms themselves. They change their rules and their interfaces, they have outages, and they can restrict or close an account for their own reasons. None of that is within our control, and we are not responsible for a post a platform refuses, delays or removes.

Features that suggest or draft content use an AI model. What it produces can be wrong, and it is yours to check before you publish it.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Photon Beam is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost audience or lost opportunity. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You can close your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being used unlawfully, or that puts the service or other customers at risk - and we will tell you why unless we are not permitted to.

If we discontinue the service we will give reasonable notice so you can get your content out, and refund any period paid for but not used.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change. When they do, the date at the top changes, and we will tell existing customers by email if the change materially affects them. Continuing to use the service after that counts as accepting the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, and the courts of Alberta have jurisdiction.
